The CLM01.3-X-0-1-B-FW is an Indramat position control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It governs a single axis. It is intended for tasks such as flying-shear cutting, where precise length control and synchronized motion are required on automated production lines.

The unit operates from a control bus of 24 VDC, and convection cooling removes heat without fans, allowing cabinet installation where airflow is limited. Feed commands can be issued in increments as fine as 0.01 mm, which supports tight material-length tolerances, while dwell intervals can be timed down to 0.01 s for rapid cut-pause cycles. An enclosure rated at IP10 protects the electronics from accidental contact in clean environments. Operators interact through a four-line backlit LCD that is supplemented by 20 membrane keys, and the background illumination keeps the display readable in dim machine spaces. Twenty-four predefined inputs and eighteen predefined outputs connect sensors and actuators, and the controller ships with standard I/O plus a flying-shear configuration, so no additional hardware option is required. Incremental or absolute feedback can be accepted, and an incremental measuring wheel is provided for direct length referencing.

The housing measures 390 mm in height, 325 mm in depth, and 105 mm in width, giving a compact footprint for panel mounting. With a mass of 6 kg, the module remains manageable during installation. Reliable operation is specified up to 1000 m altitude, ensuring full performance at most factory elevations. The unit is part of Line 01, and the convection path remains unobstructed because only natural air movement is required. Position control is maintained through 1-axis closed-loop logic that processes encoder signals at the programmed feed resolution while honoring the dwell time and flying-shear sequencing set by the application program.
