The unit supervises up to two coordinated drive axes in automated cutting, packaging, or material-handling stations, issuing precise feed commands and monitoring encoder feedback to keep motion within specified tolerances. By combining numeric program storage with operator front-panel entry, the controller bridges PLC logic and servo drives for repeatable length-based positioning tasks on the factory floor.

Internally, the module is powered by a control voltage of 24 VDC and directs 2 axes through step-and-direction or velocity commands while tracking one incremental encoder for position verification. Four ±10 V, 12-bit input channels allow sensor references, and 4 analog inputs are complemented by two ±10 V, 14-bit outputs for trim or override signals. The feed command granularity reaches 0.001 mm, letting the controller handle short indexing cycles without mechanical cams.
