The CLM01.3-A-E-4-0-FW positioning control is one of the several user-programmable modules of its kind from Bosch Rexroth in the CLM series. The device has multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to operate a background PLC and two motion programs at the same time. The product along with an AC servo system offers closed-loop feedback. It supports online and offline programming. The front panel can be used to enter a simple user program for operating the control system. The unit is widely deployed in several applications such as roll feeds, linear gantry robots, handling equipment and more. The positioning control can be delivered worldwide with a one-year warranty period.
The module supports two-way communication with a host device through a multi-format serial communications port. The device has a 20-digit keypad for entering data and can be programmed using multiple subroutines. The keypad/display can be mounted at a distance of up to two meters from the cabinet in which the module is mounted. The unit has several auxiliary inputs and outputs to acknowledge and control machine functions. It also encompasses 128KB RAM, 256KB EPROM and a Motorola 68000 processor. The product supports easy installation and replacement of the control system components.
The outputs of the control are thermally protected using a current limiter circuit. They are wired by the indicator lights that can be found on a PLC or the control panel. The CL key of the keypad can be used to clear any soft or hard fault message that is displayed. The display highlights the software version when this product is on and set to Automatic or Manual mode. The device has a slide-out card that acts as the memory and battery module. The Jog input allows each axis to jog in the forward and reverse directions.
