The CLM01.3-A-0-4-0 module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It serves as an Indramat position control device in automated processing lines. The module issues position commands, synchronizes drives, and manages encoder signals so that material feeds, cuts, or press strokes remain within programmed tolerances. This makes it suitable for applications that require repeatable positioning and coordinated machine timing across multiple functions.

Internally, the controller supervises up to 4 axes, and each channel accepts one incremental or absolute encoder for feedback. The logic runs from a control supply of 24 Vdc, keeping the electronics isolated from drive power. A bank of 24 auxiliary inputs and 19 auxiliary outputs permits direct connection of limit switches, sensors, and actuators without extra I/O cards. This built-in I/O allows nearby field devices to be handled directly by the control unit. Feed commands can be set with a resolution of 0.01 mm, which supports fine trimming in length-based feeding and cutting tasks. The membrane keypad provides 20 keys and a four-line standard LCD display, giving operators direct access to parameter pages. The display and keypad allow routine operating values to be viewed and adjusted from the module face without separate external controls. The front panel measures 105 mm in width and 390 mm in height, while depth is limited to 325 mm. With a mass of 6 kg, the module can be mounted in crowded cabinets where forced airflow is not available, and heat is removed through convection. The enclosure has a protection rating of IP 10, which provides basic guarding against inadvertent contact but no dust or water sealing for cabinet-mounted use.
