The CLM01.2-X is an axis positioning control module built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. As a position controller, the unit supervises single-axis motion by issuing precise feed commands to a connected drive, making it suitable for automated cutting, pressing, and material-handling stations. The module combines operator input, program memory, and real-time motion computation in a single enclosure that mounts inside a control cabinet. This arrangement allows machine functions to be handled locally, so routine axis movements can be entered, stored, and recalled directly from the module.

The module runs on a control supply of 24 VDC, and its motion calculations are handled by a Motorola 68000 microprocessor. Permanent program storage is provided by 256 KB of EPROM, while volatile data and stack operations use 128 KB of RAM. Feed commands can be generated with a resolution of 0.001 in (0.01 mm), allowing tight-tolerance positioning during repetitive motion tasks. The front panel includes a two-line display that shows axis status, parameter values, and error codes. Beneath the screen, twenty membrane keys provide direct access to jog, preset, and teach functions, so many common adjustments can be made without an external terminal.

System integration is carried out through a serial port that supports RS-232/422/485 protocols, and additional drive connectors are available on the AK11 memory module supplied with the unit. Convection cooling dissipates heat without fans, and the housing carries an IP10 protection class for indoor cabinet installation below 1000 m operating altitude. The enclosure measures 390 mm in height, 105 mm in width, and 325 mm in depth, while the unit weighs 6 kg. Its cabinet-mounted format helps keep the operator interface, motion control functions, and connection points together in one compact assembly.
