The CLM01.2-A-E-2-0 module is an Indramat position control unit built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. It serves as the central controller that interprets encoder feedback and commands drives to execute precise moves in machining centers, packaging lines, and other motion-focused installations. The module combines a two-line LCD interface with a membrane keypad so travel distances, speeds, and motion profiles can be entered directly at the unit without a separate computer. This allows coordinated positioning tasks to be handled locally and helps the controller manage repeatable axis movement in automated equipment.
The standard configuration supports 2-axis positioning. Each incremental encoder channel draws up to 200 mA, while the logic electronics are powered from a regulated 24 Vdc control supply provided by the cabinet. Position commands are calculated at 0.01 mm resolution, which allows accurate step placement for tightly controlled motion. A 16-bit Motorola 68000 processor executes the motion algorithms, and convection cooling removes heat during continuous operation. Protection class IP10 limits the unit to clean, dry enclosures, and operators enter parameters through 20 tactile keys beneath the two-line LCD display. The unit is part of Line 01, and an AK11 memory module stores machine-specific data.
