The CLM 01.3-X-E-2-B module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. Classified as an Indramat position control, it is installed in automated cut-to-length, packaging, and web-handling lines where precise material positioning is required. The unit supervises motor drives through encoder feedback, calculates feed lengths, and coordinates synchronized motion among connected machinery so repeated indexing and registration tasks stay aligned within the equipment rack.

This controller is engineered for up to 2 axes of motion and calculates each move with a feed length resolution of 0.01 mm, giving converters and cutters fine incremental control over product length. The front panel combines an alphanumeric LCD with a 4 × 16 characters layout and a membrane keypad containing 20 keys for parameter entry, jogging, and diagnostics. Position feedback can be taken from an incremental or absolute encoder, while the dedicated measuring-wheel channel accepts incremental encoders only for separate tracking of material travel. Convection cooling removes internal heat without fans, and the IP10 electronics are intended for installation inside a protected enclosure.

The integrated I/O complement provides 88 auxiliary inputs for sensors and interlocks and 51 auxiliary outputs for relays, valves, or status indicators, and capacity can be expanded further with an Expansion I/O Board. A steel chassis measuring 390 × 105 × 325 mm and weighing 6 kg fits standard control cabinets while leaving room for cabling and the airflow needed for passive cooling. Operation is permitted up to 1000 m altitude without performance derating, and the alphanumeric LCD remains readable across that range. The module can be mounted beside servo drives and power supplies in multi-axis motion systems.
