The CLM 01.3-X-E-2-0 is an Indramat position control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. Built for closed-loop motion tasks, the device serves as the numeric head of a drive set, calculating position error and issuing corrective commands to servo amplifiers. By integrating control logic with feedback processing, it enables packaging lines, gantry loaders, and similar equipment to execute repeatable moves inside a compact 390 mm-tall chassis. This arrangement lets the module handle command generation and feedback evaluation in one unit, which helps keep axis response consistent during repeated indexing and positioning cycles.

It manages 2 axes simultaneously. It is powered from a 24 V DC cabinet supply that may rise by up to 20 percent, and under this rail the electronics draw only 200 mA, minimizing load on auxiliary power. An encoder counter that clocks at 1 MHz captures high-resolution quadrature signals without missing pulses, while the internal memory can store up to 3000 blocks of executable positioning instructions. Four analog inputs, two analog outputs, and a ±10 V range allow velocity or torque references to be exchanged with legacy drives, and one differential input is provided for noise-immune signal sources.

For expansion beyond its built-in resources, the controller offers 64 in / 32 out discrete channels through a field-bus backplane. Host connectivity is handled by a multi-standard serial port that supports RS-232C / RS-422 / RS-485, so the module can link operator panels or upper-level PLCs without extra adapters. Complex jobs are divided into subroutines that can nest to 127 levels, reducing program length and keeping large motion sequences organized. Status and parameter data appear on a standard LCD with four lines, and the front panel width of 105 mm allows the module to share cabinets with other Indramat drives while maintaining access clearance. The display also supports clear viewing of operating states and stored values from the front of the cabinet.
