The CLM 01.3-X-0-4-0 is an axis positioning control module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. As an Indramat position control unit, it supervises multi-axis motion tasks in packaging, cutting, and assembly lines by coordinating servo drives from a central 24-volt logic platform. The module’s onboard keypad and LCD interface give users direct access to parameters, allowing quick tuning and job changes without an external computer. This arrangement keeps positioning functions in the control module while the connected drives supply motor power.

With support for 4 independent axes, the controller can sequence concurrent positioning profiles while sharing a common logic supply of 24 Vdc. The front panel offers 20 membrane keys for motion commands, parameter entry, and diagnostic menus, which reduces reliance on peripheral HMIs during normal operation. For digital I/O, the device provides 24 predefined inputs for sensors or limit switches and 18 predefined outputs for contactors, solenoids, or status lamps. Internal logic draws only 10 mA, and its transistorized outputs source up to 50 mA, which helps limit heat buildup inside the cabinet. The built-in I/O lets the module react directly to field devices without a separate interface card.

Thermal management relies on convection cooling, so the unit can be mounted in a sealed panel without fan wiring as long as ambient air can circulate past the heat sink. The housing carries an IP10 rating, which provides basic finger protection and requires installation inside a protected electrical cabinet. Operators adjust setpoints through a standard LCD with a 4 x 16 character display, which provides room for menu labels, values, and status text. Reliable performance is maintained up to 1000 m above sea level, allowing deployment in most industrial locations.
