Internal Product Review
The CLM 01.3-M-E-2-B is an Indramat position control module designed for 2-axis positioning with a 24 VDC control voltage. A 12-bit differential input resolution paired with 14-bit output resolution supports accurate command processing and stable axis response. RS-232/422/485 serial interfacing and 2 x ±10 V analog command outputs make the unit a strong fit for precise integration tasks.

Product Description:
The Bosch Rexroth Indramat CLM 01.3-M-E-2-B is a motion-control module from the CLM Axis Positioning Control Modules series. Designed as an Indramat position controller, it supervises two coordinated axes and issues reference commands to servo drives and actuators. Within automated cutting, packaging, or material-handling cells, the module calculates incremental position targets, manages auxiliary I/O, and communicates with upstream PLCs, allowing accurate length, angle, or feed positioning without low-level drive programming.
To accommodate complex machinery, the unit offers 72 optically isolated auxiliary inputs and 48 transistorized auxiliary outputs, giving the host a large number of discrete channels for sensors, switches, and pneumatic valves. Two independent command channels deliver 2 × ±10 V analog reference signals that modulate velocity or torque on the connected drives. Internal logic is powered by a 24 VDC control supply and draws only 200 mA, so it can share standard cabinet power without a dedicated source. Position feedback from external encoders is processed through a differential input circuit with 12 bits of resolution, which sets the minimum incremental step the controller can detect.
On the output side, part-length commands are generated with 14 bits of digital resolution, so programmed moves translate into smooth motion profiles. The smallest distance that can be specified is 0.001 in, which is useful for rotary knives and cutoff saws that must trim material to tight tolerances. Serial data exchange takes place over RS-232/422/485, enabling parameter download, recipe transfer, or diagnostic retrieval from a supervisory computer. The steel enclosure weighs 6 kg and measures 390 mm tall, 105 mm wide, and 325 mm deep, and it is intended for panel mounting in an IP10 enclosure with forced-air cooling.
