Product Description:
The CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-NN-NN-NN-NN-NN-FW is a modular drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Mounted beside a power section, it supplies closed-loop processing, fieldbus routing, and parameter storage so that servo hardware can be synchronized with PLC logic in packaging, printing, and handling systems. This arrangement lets the control unit handle feedback evaluation and command exchange while the companion power stage supplies motor current. The unit also provides two ±10 V analog inputs for process references and two ±10 V analog outputs for scaled feedback to external devices.
This unit supervises motion on 2 axes and updates motor current every 125 µs, velocity every 250 µs, and position every 500 µs. A separate communication refresh of 500 µs keeps command traffic aligned with the drive’s internal loops. These update intervals support responsive control when the axis must react quickly to changing load conditions. Overall energy drawn by the electronics stays at 23 W, so cabinet heating remains low. The controller also exposes eight configurable digital I/O points that can be assigned to cam switches, enable chains, or probe functions.
The module has 14 digital inputs dedicated to fast limit or home sensors. Command data flows through a Multi-Ethernet stack supporting 100Base-TX signaling on a RJ-45 8-pin jack, allowing selection of Sercos III, EtherNet/IP, or PROFINET without hardware changes. Both front-side encoder channels use a multi-encoder interface that accepts EnDat 2.2, 1Vpp, SSI, or TTL formats, enabling dual-loop operation with motor and load feedback. The network port and encoder interfaces provide the connections needed for both machine control and feedback handling. The four optional slots can add safety functions, extra fieldbus connections, or onboard memory.
