The Bosch Rexroth's drive controllers are designed to track and control the operations of motors. Different drive controllers exhibit different drive power and interfaces, enabling a wide range of applications of this product line. Also, drive controllers are configured to enable motors to perform specific functions in a machine. Each drive controller consists of a control section plugged into a power section. These devices are commonly found in handling and mounting systems, packaging and food machines, machine tools, and printing and paper processing machines.

The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-EN1-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW is a control section in the CDB01 series. Like other models in this series, it is in the BASIC UNIVERSAL range. Hence, it is configurable and suited to double-axis operations. It has a SERCOS interface which enables its connection to higher-level control sections via fiber optic cables. However, these cables are ordered independently. Meanwhile, it has four combined I/Os which can function as a digital input or digital output. It also has a standard encoder interface for the evaluation of encoder systems with a supply voltage of 12V. This includes the Sin-cos encoder (1Vpp) with reference track, sin-cos encoder (1Vpp) with Hiperface interface, encoder system of IndraDyn S motors, and so on.

In addition, the CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-EN1-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW has a resolver and HSF encoder interface used for the connection of encoder systems with a DC supply voltage of 8V. It is operated using a standard control panel with a single-line display and four control keys. The standard control panel is not suited for hot plug; thus, it should not be plugged in or disconnected when the drive controller has been switched on.
