The innovative drive controllers used in building the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system are composed of two essential components: the power section and the control section. The control sections, such as those in the CDB series, are compact units of the drive controllers plugged into the power sections by design.

The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-EN2-NNN-EN2-NN-S-NN-FW is a model of the control sections in the CDB series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a configurable type equipped with a SERCOS interface that connects the drive controller to high-level control units. This connection uses fiber optic cables for fast and secure transfer of real-time data with minimal wiring. The double-axis control section also features a standard encoder evaluation interface for encoders with a 12V supply voltage and two other encoder interfaces. These interfaces support encoders with a supply voltage of 5V. Some of these encoders are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with EnDat 2.1 and Sense lines, the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track, and the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track.

The field bus transmission rate and transmission power of the SERCOS module of the CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-EN2-NNN-EN2-NN-S-NN-FW can be set using its standard control panel. The user panel features a single-line display where the drive controller’s operating states, command and error diagnoses, and pending warnings are viewed. It can also be used to establish the position data reference, start the basic load defaults procedure, and set the analog outputs. Firmware can be used with this CDB model, but it must be ordered separately from the manufacturer.
