One of the most revolutionary creations by Bosch Rexroth is the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. It is a futuristic automation system where various drive and control components have been integrated to ensure solutions to different kinds of automation challenges. The drive controllers in this system are made up of power sections with plugged-in control sections, such as the double-axis models of the CDB01 series. Their typical applications include handling and mounting systems, food processing and packaging and food machines, and machine tools.

The CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW is a configurable control section with a PROFIBUS master communication module, used for controlling and monitoring the operations of electrical motors. With its double digital axes, it integrates the functions of two axes in a single device. On these axes, there are two standard encoder evaluation interfaces for encoder systems with a supply voltage of 12V and two Resolver and HSF encoder evaluation interfaces. These are ideal for the connection of encoder systems with a supply voltage of 8V DC or 18.2V AC peak-to-peak.

With an optional MultiMediaCard (MMC), the CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW can save axis-oriented drive parameters for its axes. It offers no safety technology option but features a standard control panel with which it can be commissioned. This control panel plays a role in fault diagnosis as it can be used to access the error memory of the device. It also has a single-line display where error messages and warnings are shown. Alternatively, it can be operated remotely using the Rexroth IndraWorks software package for PC. In addition, the use of firmware with this double-axis control section is supported, but all firmware has to be ordered separately.
