Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular dual-axis control card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed in a drive controller rack, the board receives sensor data and network commands so it can generate motion instructions for connected servo inverters. By combining encoder evaluation, analog I/O, relay signaling, and a PROFIBUS interface on one plug-in module, it acts as the coordination layer between the machine control system and the power electronics that move industrial motors.
This version provides 1 analog input for reference values and 2 analog outputs that can stream feedback signals such as speed or torque demand to a higher-level PLC. Communication with distributed I/O and HMI panels is handled by the PROFIBUS fieldbus; the onboard transceiver supports data rates up to 12 MBaud, allowing cyclic exchanges. For axis-position feedback, the card carries two EN1 resolver channels. Each EN1 interface draws only 250 mA from an internally regulated 8 VDC supply, keeps its resolver excited at 4 kHz, and delivers conditioned sine-cosine signals back to the drive processor. A single form-A relay contact rated as 1 N/O can be mapped to ready or fault functions.
At power-up, the board draws an inrush current of 6 A that lasts approximately 60 ms, so line protection devices must be sized accordingly. Once energized, the board supports two encoder supply rails: the ENS outputs furnish 11.6 VDC at 500 mA for optical or incremental sensors, while the resolver channels are energized by 18.2 Vpp AC. The built-in PROFIBUS connector is supplemented by an RS-232 service port that can be cabled up to 15 m for service access. Dual encoder evaluation is enabled through 2 x ENS sockets, while the EN1 resolver terminals support closed-loop control accuracy.
