The CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-NN-S4-NN-NN-FW is a dual-axis motion control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed beside an HMD01 power section, it converts network commands into synchronized current, velocity, and position setpoints for servo drives in automated machinery. The module is intended for Multi-Ethernet networks, where it supports deterministic communication cycles and integrated Safe Motion functions. It is well suited for machines that coordinate paired servo axes, including feeders, transfer systems, and indexing stations that require closely timed motion.
An axis count of 2 is supported by multi-encoder interfaces on both channels, allowing resolver, EnDat, or SSI feedback devices to be connected without extra daughterboards. The torque loop refreshes every 125 µs, while the speed loop runs at 250 µs and the position loop runs at 500 µs, helping the controller maintain stable contouring during load changes. Because both channels accept common encoder types, the same feedback technology can be used on paired axes when a machine uses matching motors. The unit also provides 14 digital inputs for limit, home, and probe signals, and Safe Motion on Axis 1 can use these signals for STO, SS1, or SOS functions.
The controller includes 8 configurable digital I/O lines that can operate either as outputs for contactors or as inputs for process status. It also provides 2 analog outputs for ±10 V reference signals and 2 analog voltage inputs for reading transducer values during closed-loop trimming. These local signals can be assigned to sensors, actuators, or interlocks that need to interact directly with the motion system. Up to 4 optional slots can be fitted with expansion cards such as extra encoder interfaces or fieldbus couplers, and communication with the higher-level controller runs over a 100Base-TX link.
