Product Description:
The CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-EM-S4-S4-NN-NN-AW control card comes from Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CDB Control Units series. Mounted beside an HMD01 power section, it governs two servo axes in compact drive arrangements used in handling robots, printing lines, and packaging stations. The board translates real-time commands from a higher-level PLC into precise current references while monitoring encoder feedback, so coordinated motion is maintained inside the machine architecture. Because control and feedback processing take place on the card, paired axes can respond quickly to speed changes, position updates, and synchronized machine events.
For sensor interfacing, the unit supplies 2 analog inputs that are sampled for speed or torque loops, and it can mirror process variables through two analog outputs. State changes are read by 14 digital inputs, whereas 8 configurable digital I/O pins can be reassigned as outputs for relays or as inputs for safety gates. Four probe inputs connect directly to the servo loop for high-speed latching, and dual multi-encoder interfaces on each axis evaluate absolute, incremental, and EnDat signals while an additional encoder-emulation channel can generate complementary feedback. Network traffic is handled by the Multi-Ethernet port supporting EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and EtherCAT. Functional safety is enforced through the Safe Motion module, enabling monitored stop, safe velocity, and safe position without extra relays.
The control card stores user parameters internally. Application code resides in a 16 MB code flash area, while operating data is kept in a 2 MB data flash segment. Non-volatile machine counters and recipe numbers survive restarts inside the 32 kB retain memory, which keeps selected values available after power cycles. Four expansion positions accept fieldbus masters or I/O boards, and 4 optional slots allow the unit to be adapted to the required interface mix. An advanced control panel provides local diagnostics, and hot-plug support allows the card to be recognized without a cabinet power cycle.
