Product Description:
The CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-EM-NN-NN-NN-NN-FW control unit is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. It installs on an IndraDrive power section and forms the logic layer that supervises motor drives, sensor feedback, and local machine signals. By integrating encoder interfaces, fieldbus routing, and fast probing channels, the board delivers position, speed, and status data to plant-wide controllers, making it a compact automation node for multiaxis systems. It supports two feedback channels, so two servo axes can operate with closed-loop control from a single card, reducing cabinet wiring.
Fourteen discrete inputs handle limit switches and sensors; these are provided as 14 digital inputs. The module also provides 8 configurable digital I/O points that can be set as inputs or outputs. For analog transducers, there are 2 analog inputs and 2 analog outputs that accept or source ±10 V signals. Motion timing is supported by 4 probe inputs that capture edge events accurately. Both axis channels connect to the multi-encoder interface, and an auxiliary encoder-emulation port can generate incremental signals. Four optional slots accept safety, I/O, or communication plug-ins.
Multi-Ethernet support is provided through 2 Ethernet ports that are wired to the backplane and adhere to the IEEE 802.3 physical layer. Through this hardware, the unit communicates over sercos III, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET IO, so a controller can be migrated between networks without changing hardware. The internal encoder supply offers a budget of 6 W encoder power for SinCos, SSI, or Hiperface sensors. When the encoder-emulation interface drives long cables, it can source a differential signal of 20 mA RS-422 output current or a single-ended 40 mA level, which helps maintain reliable feedback duplication.
