Product Description:
The CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-EC-SB-SB-EC-NN-FW is a drive control unit produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Mounted on the front of an IndraDrive stack, it supplies signal processing, fieldbus connectivity, and encoder evaluation for two coordinated axes. By executing positioning and velocity loops, the card links the mechanical load to higher-level PLCs and completes the automation hierarchy in packaging, printing, and handling cells.
Communication with supervisory systems is provided through a Multi-Ethernet interface, allowing selection among several industrial TCP/IP variants without hardware changes. Two differential analog inputs operate up to 1.3 kHz; this bandwidth lets the controller track rapidly changing sensor signals. Each channel is digitized with 13-bit resolution, translating small voltage variations into fine motion commands. A common-mode rejection of 50 dB reduces noise that can be induced by servo cabling inside electrically harsh cabinets. For encoder supply, both the 12 V and 5 V rails can deliver 500 mA, letting the board power high-resolution multi-turn or sine-cosine feedback devices without separate supplies.
Discrete I/O completes the interface set. The board offers 14 digital inputs for limit switches, home sensors, or PLC flags, and all of them can be reassigned as fast position latches through the four probe inputs. There are 8 configurable digital I/O points that can be toggled between input and output roles, plus two analog outputs for drive-based process values. Hardware flexibility is extended by 4 optional slots; in this configuration Option 3, Option 6, and the axis 1/2 channels are populated with Multi-Encoder boards that accept EnDat, SSI, or incremental formats. Safety functions are managed by the Safe Motion Bus, allowing certified stop, hold, and monitored speed modes to coexist with standard motion control.
