Product Description:
The CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-EC-S5-S5-NN-NN-FW is a slot-mountable control card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed in a drive controller, it closes the current, velocity, and position loops of connected servo inverters and distributes local I/O signals to the higher-level PLC. The module brings together motion processing, network interfaces, and safety circuits required for coordinated axis control on packaging lines, assembly stations, and material-handling systems.
Logic power is supplied at 24 VDC, and the board itself draws only 23 W, an advantage for compact cabinets with limited cooling. Machine signals are accepted through 14 digital inputs, while 2 analog inputs capture sensor voltages and 2 analog outputs return setpoints or diagnostics to external devices. Eight configurable DI/O points can be reassigned per task, and four additional slots remain free for field-installable options. Servo regulation is rapid; the current loop updates every 125 µs, the velocity controller refreshes at 250 µs, and position calculations complete after 500 µs, giving the downstream drives sufficient bandwidth for high-dynamic moves.
Network traffic is handled by Multi-Ethernet, allowing the same hardware to participate in EtherCAT, PROFINET, SERCOS III, or Ethernet/IP installations. Frames are processed on a 500 µs communication cycle, and the physical link is provided through an RJ-45, 8-pin connector for standard patch cables. Three multi-encoder interfaces support mixed incremental or absolute feedback, and the configurable DI/O lines described above extend local signal coverage. Functional safety is integrated through the dual-channel Safe Motion S5 x2 package, enabling machine builders to satisfy demanding risk-reduction requirements without external relays.
