Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat developed the CDB02.1B-ET-EC-EC-EC-NN-NN-EM-NN-FW as a configurable control unit within the CDB Control Units series. The device houses signal processing and network interfaces that coordinate one or two drive axes, translating fieldbus commands into precise current and velocity loops for IndraDrive power sections. In industrial automation, the unit anchors motion sequences, synchronizing servo motors with conveyor, packaging, or machining tasks while reducing cabinet space by combining feedback, I/O, and Ethernet connectivity in one module.
The unit has 14 digital inputs for 24 VDC sensor signals, allowing a PLC to issue enable, limit, or homing triggers without extra hardware. For speed or torque reference, the module includes 2 analog inputs that scale ±10 V signals through 12-bit conversion. Commanded positions are echoed through 2 analog outputs, each rated for a maximum 2 kΩ load and a 24 mV/Incr resolution, allowing closed-loop status transmission to legacy controllers or chart recorders. Both drive channels read position data over a Multi-Encoder Interface assigned to Axis 1 and Axis 2, while Interface 6 can output quadrature or SSI frames for external devices through encoder emulation. Eight configurable I/O points can be mapped as fast outputs or latch inputs, and four probe inputs capture edge times for registration applications.
The communication backbone is Multi-Ethernet, presented on a single RJ-45, 8-pin port that auto-negotiates SERCOS III, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or EtherCAT protocols, so the same hardware suits diverse plant networks. Internal expansion is possible through 4 optional slots that accept safety, fieldbus, or additional encoder cards, and Interface 3 is reserved for a third Multi-Encoder channel when high-resolution feedback is needed. Each analog channel tolerates a 100 nF capacitive load, which helps maintain signal fidelity across shielded leads.
