Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-NNN-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW control unit is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed on an IndraDrive power section, it forms the command layer that interprets motion profiles, evaluates sensor returns, and activates machine-level safety paths in automated production lines. The board combines field communication, feedback evaluation, and onboard I/O so that a single plug-in module can coordinate multi-axis positioning without external relay logic.
Control communication is handled through the SERCOS II optical ring, giving deterministic cyclic telegrams for drive setpoints and status data. The analog I/O extension provides 2 In / 2 Out channels, which are useful for reference voltages or process feedback routed directly to the internal signal processor. A base analog output of 5 V / 1 mA supports simple tachometer or transducer connections without external buffering. Typical standby demand is only 9 W, which helps minimize cabinet heat. The unit can tolerate an initial surge of 6 A during power-up, and this inrush current is limited to a 60 ms pulse so upstream supplies are not overstressed. Two IndraDyn/Hiperface encoder ports provide differential feedback support for high-resolution position loops.
For discrete logic, each transistorized output can source 500 mA, while the MA1 D-Sub 15 female connector carries encoder, probe, and serial lines. The fast capture circuit records an edge with 1 µs accuracy and maintains a probe pulse width of 4 µs so synchronous events can be time-stamped by the drive. Serial diagnostics are available over RS-232 at 115 kBaud across cable runs up to 15 m. Safety circuitry is energized from 24 V. The control input draws 3 mA, the solid-state output supports 24 V / 0.5 A, and the redundant relay channel handles 1 A for category-compliant shutdown chains.
