They are parts of drive controllers developed to control electrical motors in the system and monitor their operation.
The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW is a configurable double-axis control section model, designed by Bosch Rexroth in the BASIC UNIVERSAL control section range. It is built with a SERCOS interface for its master communication module. Hence, it can be connected to higher-level control units with fiber optic cables. The communication module's data rate and transmission power can be set via one of the device's serial interfaces or its control panel. This control panel is the standard type, and its single-line display shows information like faults and its operating states. It also has four keys that can be used to enter simple commands and run extended diagnoses.
There are two standard encoder evaluation interfaces on the CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-MEM-MA1-S1-S-NN-FW, both of which are for encoders that require a supply voltage of 12 V. They include the encoder system of MSK motors, sin-cos encoders (1 Vpp) with reference track, and EnDat 2.1 and Hiperface interfaces. The controls section is also equipped with an encoder emulation interface that emulates absolute value and incremental encoder signals. These signals are isolated from the circuit board and are further evaluated by the control unit. The device also features a Safety Technology I/O module.
