Bosch Rexroth’s drive systems are innovative integrations of the most advanced drive and motion control units. One of the components of the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system is the drive controller that comprises a control section and a power section. The control sections in the CDB01 series are a family of the control sections used in machine tools, packaging and food machines, and printing and paper processing machines.
The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW is a configurable double-axis control section in the CDB01 series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is equipped with a SERCOS communication interface that requires fiber optics cables for signal transfer, ensuring the secure exchange of data with minimal wiring. The fiber optic cables have to be ordered separately. The control section also features two standard encoder evaluation interfaces for encoder systems with a supply voltage of 12V. Examples of these encoders are the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with Hiperface, the sin-cos encoder (1 Vpp) with reference track, and the 5V-TTL square-wave encoder with reference track.
There are two other encoder evaluation interfaces on the CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW, which support encoder systems with a 5V supply voltage. The control section has the Safe Motion option which allows different application-related safety functions, such as safe maximum speed, safely-limited speed, safe direction, and safe communication. Its standard control panel performs functions like setting the drive address, establishing the basic load defaults procedure and navigating through the error memory. The single-line display of the panel shows the operating state of the machine, its command and error diagnoses and pending alerts. As a category C3 product according to IEC 61800‑3, this control section is best-suited for operation in industrial areas.
