Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-ENS-EN1-EN1-L2-S-NN-FW is a modular control unit from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the CDB Control Units series. Designed as the command layer for drive packages, it processes feedback from multiple encoder channels and issues velocity and torque references to connected power sections in industrial automation systems. By combining communication, safety, and signal conditioning on one compact board, the unit reduces panel wiring and simplifies servo-axis integration on assembly lines, packaging machines, and other motion-focused equipment.
With an axis count of 2, the device can simultaneously coordinate two independent drives, each exchanging cyclic data over the SERCOS II fiber-optic bus. All control inputs are opto-isolated and accept 24 VDC, 3 mA signals, while status outputs switch up to 24 VDC, 0.5 A for contactors or indicator lamps. The board also provides an analog monitor output of 5 V at 1 mA for oscilloscope tracing of internal setpoints. Resolver channel EN1 energizes its rotor at 4 kHz, and the associated 8 VDC supply rail is internally regulated to maintain consistent excitation. Its backplane accepts two ENS and two EN1 encoder plug-in modules, and each ENS slot can deliver up to 500 mA for high-resolution sensor electronics.
A dedicated relay contact rated for 24 VDC at 1 A can open drive power when the certified Safe Torque Off channel is triggered through the D-Sub 9-pin female safety connector. ENS feedback boards draw their logic rail from 12 VDC, eliminating the need for external sensor supplies. For service access or parameter backups, a built-in RS232 service port operates independently of the fieldbus. The resolver excitation amplitude of 18.2 Vpp ensures a clear sinusoidal reference, and its integrity is monitored together with the encoder count to maintain position accuracy under vibration or temperature shifts.
