The CDB01.1C-SE-ENS-EN2-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW is a plug-in control section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed inside modular drive stacks, the board acts as the central coordinator between power inverters, motion feedback devices, and fieldbus connections. It manages communication between the drive hardware and the higher-level control so axis commands are processed in an organized way. Its role in industrial automation is to supervise drive parameters, receive higher-level commands, and distribute them to connected axes so synchronized positioning, speed regulation, and safety monitoring can take place.

The control section supports 2 motion channels, and the electronics draw only 9 W at idle, which helps limit cabinet heat during standby operation. Real-time exchange with the drive loop is handled through SERCOS II, while local setup and diagnostics are available through the RS-232 serial interface for direct access at the cabinet. Each output can source 500 mA for digital field devices, and relay contacts are rated at DC 24 V / 1 A for external interlocks. The unit includes Safe Motion functions for integrated protective monitoring. One slot accepts IndraDyn, HIPERFACE, or 1 Vpp encoders, and three additional slots support EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, or 5 V TTL feedback; the En2 supply provides 5 V. Operator interaction is limited to a single-line display, and parameters are stored on a removable MultiMediaCard.

The analog monitor channel provides 5 V / 1 mA so status signals can be checked without extra conditioning. Control logic for the encoder supplies is powered from a separate 12 V rail, which keeps the feedback circuits isolated from the main logic bus. At power-up, the card can draw an inrush current of 6 A, and internal timing limits that surge to no more than 60 ms. This controlled startup helps reduce abrupt loading on the supply during initial energizing.
