Safety Technology I/O is implemented through dual-channel terminals that source switching circuits with 24 VDC / 0.5 A, enabling category-compliant emergency stop links without extra relays. Configuration and diagnostics may be performed locally over an RS-232 service port while real-time communication with the master continues on the SERCOS ring.
