Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-S2-S-NN-FW is a plug-in control section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for integration into IndraDrive power modules within the CDB Control Units series. It acts as the logic interface between higher-level motion controllers and the drive’s power stage, coordinating feedback devices and fieldbus traffic. This allows two servo axes to be synchronized or regulated independently in industrial automation tasks such as packaging or material handling.
This unit processes up to 2 motion channels and exchanges real-time data over the SERCOS II fiber-optic ring. All control electronics are supplied by a regulated 24 V DC feed, and the board’s own consumption remains at only 9 W, which helps limit cabinet heat. The analog monitor output changes in steps of 19.5 mV/inc, allowing fine-grained observation of internal variables on an oscilloscope. Digital inputs recognize an off state when the signal drops to 5 V and switch on once 15 V is reached, while software filters can be set so that pulses narrower than the 60 ms watchdog window are ignored. Each output channel can source 500 mA, and the combined output current is limited to 1000 mA to protect connector traces.
A group current of 500 mA supports external relay coils, and soft-start circuitry restricts initial inrush to 6 A when the 24 V supply is applied. The hardware safety layer implements Safe Motion, so encoder signals from the 2× EnDat2.1/1 Vpp/5 V TTL pairs and the two resolver/HSF channels are supervised before torque is enabled. Diagnostic pulses can extend up to 60 ms, and the RS-232 link operates at up to 115 kBaud across 15 m of shielded cable. On the high-speed side, the optical interface sustains a bandwidth of 16 MBaud, so cyclic position, velocity, and status words can be exchanged within the SERCOS timing budget.
