The Bosch Rexroth CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW is a CDB series basic universal type control section. Bosch manufactures multiple types of control sections for its IndraDrive product line. The different types of control sections differ in the number of slots for plug in modules, the available interfaces and the cycle times or switching frequencies. The CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW has five slots. Four of the slots are occupied. Slot 1 and 2 both come with a pre-installed encoder EnDat 2.1 module. Slot 3 and 4 both come with a pre-installed encoder HSF / RSF module. Slot 5 on the CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW is reserved for a safety module and is unoccupied. An integrated RS-232 interface is available on the control section. This interface allows serial communication with other serial enabled devices. The master communication interface on the CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW is SERCOS.
SERCOS is a standard for rapid real-time communication between compatible devices. It uses fiber optic cables as the physical medium for communication. The supported data rates are 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps. The upgraded version of this standard – SERCOS III – is fully compatible with Ethernet. Communication between SEROCS enabled nodes takes place between network nodes connected in ring topology. The advantage of this configuration is that a single node failure or damage to a single fiber does not disrupt network communication. The CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW mounts vertically onto a power section. The 24 Volts DC output of the power section reaches the control section through the 24 Volt and 0 Volt terminals. Power consumption of the control section basic unit is 9 Watts. Each of the four encoder modules on the CDB01.1C-SE-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-NN-S-NN-FW consumer 6 Watts of power. Only qualified personnel should handle and install the device. This product can be shipped globally with a one year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
