Installed inside IndraDrive modular systems, the unit coordinates two servo axes and provides the link between motion commands and power modules. By handling fieldbus communication, feedback decoding, and local I/O, it serves as the central control section that synchronizes motors, sensors, and actuators within automated assembly lines, packaging machinery, and similar industrial equipment. It mounts on the front of a drive stack and relies on plug-in connectors so installation remains straightforward.
The analog output stage refreshes process values every 10 µs, enabled by an 8-bit converter that matches typical drive command resolution requirements. At a nominal level of 5 V / 1 mA, the channel can feed velocity or torque references to external modules, with increments of 19.5 mV per step allowing fine adjustment. Control data are exchanged with the drive via SERCOS II, providing deterministic timing for multi-axis interpolation.
