Within an automation cell, the board coordinates drive functions, gathers encoder data, and transmits operating status to a higher-level PLC for precise multi-axis motion and integrated safety control. Safety acknowledgment lamps can be fed from the protected 0.5 A output, and all circuit wiring terminates on the D-Sub 9 female connector used by the module's Safety Technology I/O system.
