The CDB01.1C-SE-EN1-EN1-EN2-NNN-L1-S-NN-FW is a plug-in control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed on a compatible power section, it supervises drive axes and exchanges real-time motion data with higher-level PLCs. Within an automation cell, the module generates setpoints, evaluates feedback, and coordinates safety functions, allowing synchronous positioning and speed control for servo motors used in material handling, packaging, or machining systems. It is intended for applications where one control unit must coordinate multiple motion functions within the same drive platform.

This model manages motion on 2 synchronized axes and communicates with the drive network through a Sercos II fiber-optic ring. Each analog command channel accepts a differential range of ±10 V and has an input resistance of 160 kOhm, which reduces loading on upstream controllers. Digital reference and status signals use a 24 V logic high while drawing only 3 mA per point, and the internal I/O rail can supply up to 1.1 A to sensors. Incremental or absolute feedback is supported through selectable encoder options such as HSF/RSF, EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, or TTL, and a starting lockout function prevents power-stage enabling until machine conditions are verified. Command data and diagnostics can also be accessed through the integrated RS232 service port.

The controller provides an analog reference of 5 V at 1 mA for velocity or torque loops, and its digital actuator drives are rated at 0.5 A per output with a nominal 24 V level. Isolated relay contacts are available for field interlocks and can switch up to 24 V DC at 1 A for emergency-stop chains or motor brakes. When host access is required outside the cabinet, the RS232 link supports cable runs up to 15 m, allowing temporary computer access on the production floor without disturbing the Sercos channel. This service connection also supports parameter access and diagnostic checks through a direct local link.
