The CDB01.1C-S3-ENS-ENS-NNN-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW is a dual-axis control unit in the CDB Control Units series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Mounted within an IndraDrive rack, it coordinates two servo axes and routes fieldbus, encoder, probe, and safety signals between the motion controller and power stage. In automation tasks, it closes current, speed, and position loops while supplying local I/O and network access. This arrangement supports synchronized motion on packaging, handling, and similar automated equipment.

It offers one analog input and two analog outputs, and the analog outputs deliver 1 mA at 5 V for reference or trim signals into external devices. On the discrete side, it has 18 digital inputs rated for 24 V and 3 mA, four lines that can be reconfigured as digital outputs, two dedicated touch-probe inputs with a 1 µs response, and a relay contact rated 24 V DC 1 A for auxiliary switching. Drive communication relies on SERCOS III through ports X22 and X23, while an RS232 serial interface supports service access. Control logic is powered by 24 V DC and draws 9 W under normal conditions, and the standard build includes an operator panel for local diagnostics. Feedback can be accepted from IndraDyn or Hiperface encoders through a 1 Vpp interface supplied with 12 V from the board. Safe Motion meets the EN 61800-5-2 profile and applies certified limits. During power-up, the logic rail draws an inrush current of 6 A for 60 ms before settling to a 7.5 W idle draw.
