The CDB01.1C-S3-ENS-EN2-NNN-MEM-S2-S-NN-FW control card is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the CDB Control Units series. Inserted into an IndraDrive power section, it forms the logic layer that interprets motion commands, supervises feedback, and issues drive-level signals to electric axes used in automated assembly, packaging, and handling equipment. It also manages communication and encoder processing within the drive so the connected axes can respond to coordinated motion commands with consistent timing. Because the card is installed directly in the drive section, signal paths remain short between control functions and the power electronics.

This variant governs 2 axes and transmits cyclic data on the deterministic SERCOS III network, coordinating position loops with very low timing variation. Each digital output can source up to 500 mA, allowing small solenoids or indicator lamps to be driven directly from the card. A probe channel captures edge events with 1 µs resolution, while the timing circuit limits individual output pulses to 60 ms to reduce thermal stress on connected devices. Encoder emulation is factory-installed, and two feedback option sockets support IndraDyn, Hiperface, 1 Vpp, EnDat 2.1, and 5 V TTL feedback formats so incremental and absolute encoder types can be used on the same platform.

The form-C relay carries field loads up to DC 30 V, 1 A, enabling direct control of brakes or contactors. Diagnostics and local service use an RS232 port that reaches 115 kBaud and maintains signal integrity over cable lengths up to 15 m. Machine safety functions are supported by the integrated Safe Motion feature set, which monitors speed and position during operation. On power-up, the board draws a 6 A inrush current, which is important when selecting fuses and supply contactors. A MultiMediaCard slot stores parameters and other operating data, and the dedicated serial link provides local access when fieldbus communication is unavailable.
