The CDB01.1C-S3-EN2-ENS-NNN-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW is a compact drive controller component produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CDB Control Units series. It mounts inside an IndraDrive system and acts as the local control core, coordinating motion commands, safety functions, fieldbus traffic, and diagnostic data so that servo inverters can execute precise velocity and position loops in industrial automation cells. Its role is to manage communication and feedback handling within the drive assembly while supporting accurate axis control.

The unit exchanges real-time motion data through the SERCOS III interface, and the physical connection is made on an RJ-45 8-pin port. Network wiring may extend up to 100 m when used with shielded industrial cabling. A dedicated analog monitor channel delivers feedback at 5 V / 1 mA for legacy scopes or connected monitoring equipment. For secondary sensing, the EN2 differential pair supports cable runs to 75 m, letting remote voltage taps supervise power stages without offset. Primary position feedback is accepted through the multifunction encoder socket that works with EnDat 2.1 / 1 Vpp / 5 V TTL transducers, while standard plant diagnostics and service access are available through an RS-232 port that supports 15 m leads and rates up to 115 kBaud. A second feedback socket handles motors with IndraDyn / Hiperface / 1 Vpp / 5 V TTL encoders, and its sensor bus is terminated by an input resistance of 120 Ω to minimize reflection on long runs. That bus is powered from an internal source rated at 11.6 VDC, supplying up to 500 mA with signal frequencies up to 400 kHz. Safe Motion monitoring is integrated, and the D-Sub 9-pin female safety connector routes enable signals to an external relay that can interrupt machinery power.
