Designed to plug into IndraDrive power sections, the module manages two servo axes and coordinates field devices across deterministic Ethernet. In motion systems, it handles current, velocity, and position loops so that drives, sensors, and higher-level PLCs can exchange precise data for automated packaging lines, material handling stations, and machine tools. With a standard front panel, it provides direct parameter access through the local interface while retaining a slim booksize footprint that conserves cabinet space.
The unit integrates 1 analog input for speed or torque references and 2 analog outputs that can stream feedback such as actual current or position to external indicators. Inside the digital loop, the drive updates current regulators every 125 µs control cycle, allowing fine torque modulation even on high-dynamics axes. Position feedback arrives through two EnDat 2.1 / 1 Vpp / 5 V TTL channels, so dual-encoder applications such as gantry master and slave axes can be synchronized. The X7 memory card slot stores setup data, and the standard control panel draws 1 W from the internal 24 V rail for its keypad and display. A separate 1 W is allocated to the communication module, while each encoder interface is supplied with 6 W to power external transducers.
Field communication relies on SERCOS III, and the drive accepts telegrams down to a 1000 µs network cycle, so position data from multiple axes stays synchronized over the ring. Integrated Safe Motion technology uses a dual-channel architecture: the safety input monitors a 24 V, 3 mA signal, the 24 V / 0.5 A safety output can switch external contactors, and a safety relay rated at DC 24 V, 1 A is provided for power-off functions.
