Internal Product Review
The CDB01.1C-S3-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-S2-S-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat CDB control unit built for 2-axis motion control with SERCOS III communication. The encoder interface mix of 2x EnDat 2.1/1 Vpp/5 V TTL and 2x MHD/MKD gives this unit excellent feedback flexibility for complex servo systems. Safe Motion technology and 1000 mA total output current make this model a strong choice for precise, safety-focused automation.

Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-S3-EN2-EN2-EN1-EN1-S2-S-NN-FW is a drive control card manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CDB Control Units series. It mounts on an IndraDrive power section and provides real-time computation, signal conditioning, and communication for coordinated servo control. In an automation cell, the module closes the velocity, torque, and position loops, accepts PLC commands, and manages drive-enable logic so conveyors, pickers, and press stations follow programmed motion profiles with deterministic timing. It is intended for systems that require responsive axis control and stable communication with higher-level automation hardware.
Its analog front end has an input resistance of 160 kΩ, which minimizes loading on external sensors while preserving signal fidelity. Each analog output is scaled in steps of 19.5 mV/inc, and the channel supports setpoint or monitor functions when the load is 5 kΩ or higher. The base I/O layer includes 7 digital inputs for limit switches or operating mode selection, and it also provides four digital outputs for status signaling. Motion data exchange with upstream controllers is handled through SERCOS III, and the card can coordinate 2 axes while supplying up to 1.1 A of backplane current to connected field wiring.
Each high-side transistorized output can deliver up to 500 mA, allowing direct actuation of brakes or contactors without interposing relays. For feedback connections, the mixed encoder panel accepts 2x EnDat 2.1/1 Vpp/5 V TTL, 2x MHD/MKD, so absolute, incremental, and Rexroth motor encoders can be connected side by side. Integrated drive monitoring follows the Safe Motion profile, and the probe input recognizes 15 V levels with pulses as short as 4 µs for related safety functions. A form-C relay rated at 24 VDC, 1 A is available for fault signaling, while the total sourcing current across all outputs is limited to 1000 mA for thermal protection.
