The CDB01.1C-S3-EN1-EN2-NNN-NNN-NN-S-NN-FW is a modular drive control card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed inside an IndraDrive power section, the card coordinates two servo axes and exchanges real-time data with higher-level PLCs for synchronized machine control in multi-axis automation systems. Within an automation cell, it provides the closed-loop processing, scaling, and safety interlocks required to synchronize motors, execute position profiles, monitor feedback devices, and respond to changing motion commands during operation.
It communicates with the drive system over the SERCOS III fiber-optic bus, allowing deterministic cyclic updates while minimizing wiring. The card manages 2 axes, so one module can coordinate paired motion tasks such as gantry movement or master-follower operation. Internal consumption remains at 9 W, so enclosure thermal load stays low during normal operation. Field switches connect to twelve digital inputs rated at 24 V / 3 mA, and each axis offers an analog monitor channel limited to 5 V / 1 mA for scope or drive-based diagnostics. During power-up, the supply briefly draws 6 A, so protection devices must tolerate that inrush event. Command events shorter than 60 ms are still captured, which supports quick homing latches and probe functions. Resolver coils connect through the first feedback port, while a second port accepts EnDat or TTL incremental encoders.
For finer resolution, the first resolver channel runs at 4 kHz and receives an excitation of 18.2 Vpp, which helps prevent signal attenuation on long motor cables. The second encoder supply delivers 5 V at up to 350 mA, and its differential outputs require at least 35 ohms of load to meet impedance criteria. Feedback 1 supports resolver and HSF signals, while Feedback 2 accepts EnDat 2.1, 1 Vpp, or 5 V TTL formats, allowing the card to mix legacy and high-precision sensors on different motors within the same drive system. Because no certified safety technology is embedded, any emergency stop circuits remain external to the unit.
