Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-S3-EN1-EN1-EN2-EN2-S2-S-NN-FW control unit is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the CDB Control Units series. Installed in an IndraDrive power section, it serves as the command module that links application controllers to drive power stages and coordinates two servo axes in packaging, printing, or handling systems. By housing communication, feedback processing, and safety logic on one plug-in card, it provides deterministic motion commands to MHD and MKD motors used across industrial automation. This layout is suited to compact drive assemblies where synchronized motion and centralized signal handling are required.
Its real-time network interface is SERCOS III, delivering sub-millisecond telegrams for synchronous axis control. The board natively handles 2 digital axes, allowing one module to run a pair of drives. Field sensors and limit switches draw power from the isolated DC 24 V digital I/O supply. Position data is accepted through EnDat 2.1 as well as 1 Vpp and 5 V TTL encoder formats, allowing compatibility with both high-resolution and legacy feedback devices. A service laptop can connect through the RS232 port for setup and diagnostics. Two type-2 and two type-3 probe inputs capture fast position marks for time-critical machine events.
Integrated safety is provided by Safe Motion functions that are wired externally through a 9-pin D-Sub female safety connector. Firmware and parameter sets reside on a removable MultiMediaCard, so the stored data remains with the memory card when the control section is exchanged. An analog monitor channel rated at 5 V, 1 mA supports external meters or torque observers, and the onboard relay contact can switch DC 24 V at 1 A for brake release or alarm circuits. The separate safety connector keeps safety wiring distinct from the main feedback and command connections.
