Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-NNN-MA1-L1-S-NN-FW control unit for drive systems that employ modular HCS or HMV converters. As a member of the CDB Control Units series, the module provides axis control, fieldbus communication, and local I/O handling inside a drive cabinet. It directs inverter output toward servo or induction motors, allowing coordinated motion sequences in automated machine tools, packaging lines, and material-handling cells. This layout separates the control functions from the power section while still allowing the complete drive system to operate as one coordinated package.
The control card governs 2 axes, and it exchanges setpoint and diagnostic data over PROFIBUS-DP, so a PLC can synchronize motion in real time. Two ENS encoder simulation interfaces are present, and each recreates quadrature signals with a 12 bit resolution while sustaining edge fidelity up to 500 kHz. The simulation stage is powered by an internal rail held at 11.6 V, which keeps the differential line drivers within their permitted common-mode window. This helps external devices that rely on encoder-style feedback receive stable position information during operation. Configuration parameters for each channel may be written through the serial maintenance port without interrupting bus traffic.
For feedback receivers that demand additional load, the encoder simulation carries up to 500 mA per channel, preventing signal collapse on long cable runs. Safety channel L1 supervises the external emergency-stop circuit, and its acknowledgment input accepts DC 24 V / 1 A, while the downstream control relay is driven by a 24 V, 3 mA status line. Two differential analog inputs on the MA1 board capture process variables, and two voltage-scaled outputs with 12-bit precision generate torque or speed references. The service interface supports 115 kBaud RS-232 messaging for service tools, and functional safety is reinforced by Starting Lockout L1, which blocks unintended motion until the enabling sequence is satisfied. The analog and safety interfaces allow the unit to exchange process values and supervise machine readiness within the same control module.
