Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-MEM-MA1-S2-S-NN-FW is a control unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. When inserted into a compatible drive controller, it forms the interface between higher-level motion processors and the power stage, enabling precise axis regulation in automated machinery. By translating fieldbus commands and conditioning feedback signals, the board lets packaging systems, material-handling cells, and machine tools follow tightly synchronized velocity, torque, and position profiles.
This card provides two differential analog input channels with a resolution of 12 bits; each input accepts a span of ±10 V so external sensors can be wired without additional scaling hardware. Two analog outputs deliver the same ±10 V range for reference signals to external devices. This layout supports direct connection of common process references and transducer signals at the drive level. Communication with the plant controller takes place over PROFIBUS-DP, allowing cyclic set-point exchange and diagnostic reporting. Encoder emulation lines are Galvanically Isolated and routed through Double Shielding to minimize common-mode noise, and the emulation circuitry does not require an external power source. The board can absorb energy from inductive loads up to 400 mJ, and its digital high-side drivers are rated for 2 × 500 mA sourcing current.
Incremental encoder signals are generated at frequencies up to 1 MHz, supporting high-resolution feedback loops in fast-positioning axes. Each digital output can source 500 mA, and the combined current across all outputs is limited to 1000 mA to protect PCB traces and connectors. Functional safety is implemented through the drive-integrated Safe Motion technology, enabling controlled stop and monitored standstill modes without additional relays. This arrangement lets the control unit handle command exchange, feedback conditioning, and protected signal routing within the same drive platform. It can therefore support external sensors, reference devices, and supervisory controls without requiring separate interface cards for basic axis coordination tasks.
