Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-EN2-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW control unit is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CDB Control Units series. It is designed to mount inside an IndraDrive power section and coordinate two independent servo axes while integrating safety monitoring. In an automation cell, this module processes feedback from incremental and EnDat encoders, executes motion profiles, and exchanges diagnostics with the higher-level PLC. By combining axis logic, encoder evaluation, and fieldbus communication in a compact card, the part simplifies drive cabinet layouts and reduces wiring between discrete controllers.
The unit supervises exactly 2 axes and communicates with the plant network over PROFIBUS-DP, allowing deterministic telegrams for speed and torque references. Internal electronics draw only 9 W of base power, so cabinet heat rise stays low. For analog interfacing, the card sources a reference of 5 VDC and can sink or source up to 500 mA on each programmable digital output. These resources permit direct connection of potentiometers, contactors, and light-curtain relays without intermediate amplifiers, while the processor maintains synchronization between both drive sections.
The secondary encoder channel, labeled EN2, can drive feedback lines with a termination of 35 ohms and supplies sensors with 5.0 V at 350 mA. The primary ENS inputs accept differential TTL signals, draw 120 ohms per channel, and operate safely up to 400 kHz, enabling high-resolution tracking of spindle or linear motor positions. They are powered from a dedicated ENS supply of 11.6 VDC that supports shared encoder loads. The network operates at speeds up to 12 MBaud for fast data exchange. Additional resources include a relay contact rated at 30 VDC and 1 A, along with an analog output capacity of 1 mA for external meters.
