Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-PB-ENS-ENS-EN2-NNN-S1-S-NN-FW is a dual-axis drive control section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Mounted on an IndraDrive power module, it supplies the computing, diagnostic, and I/O resources that link motion commands to inverter stages. In industrial automation lines, the card converts fieldbus telegrams and encoder signals into deterministic current and velocity references so that connected servo motors track position setpoints with millisecond accuracy.
Process data reach the unit over PROFIBUS-DP, and its interface supports a transmission rate of 12 MBaud so that cyclic position updates do not stall high-speed axes. Two independent feedback channels accept the primary 2 × ENS encoders, while a separate auxiliary channel handles the EN2 format, giving full position redundancy for gantry configurations. The controller supplies reference information to external devices through an analog channel that can deliver a maximum voltage of 5 V or a sourcing current of 1 mA. Discrete machine status can be driven directly from the card because the transistorized digital outputs source up to 500 mA. For local service access, the board exposes an RS-232 port terminated on a MiniDIN 8-pin female connector.
Machine protection functions are handled through the integrated Safety Technology I/O module. All safety terminations are grouped on a D-Sub 9-pin female connector that carries dual-channel stop, enable, and feedback lines. Input circuits monitor sensors at 24 V / 3 mA, while solid-state outputs can switch actuators up to 24 V / 0.5 A. A general-purpose relay on the baseboard is rated for DC 30 V / 1 A to drive interlocks such as contactors or indicator lamps, and an internal safety relay rated at DC 24 V / 1 A provides hardwired isolation for emergency stop loops. These hardware limits set the permissible loads so wiring and fuse sizing stay within component capability.
