The CDB01.1C-PB-EN1-EN1-NNN-NNN-L1-S-NN-FW is a plug-in control section from Bosch Rexroth Indramat's CDB Control Units series. It docks to a compatible power module and supplies drive-based intelligence for industrial automation, coordinating current regulation, position feedback, and Profibus networking so that servo axes can be commanded directly from higher-level PLCs or motion controllers. The board commands 2 axes and closes the current loop every 125 µs, a timing that helps keep torque ripple low during rapid load changes. Because it is a plug-in section, control functions remain concentrated in the electronics module rather than in the power stage.
Analog velocity or torque references are generated with 19.5 mV/inc resolution, allowing fine setpoint steps when the drive operates in analog follow mode. On the fieldbus side, the integrated Profibus DP interface transmits cyclic data at up to 12 MBaud, while the Profibus daughter card draws 2 W from the backplane. Pulse-width-modulated drive commands can be switched as fast as 8 kHz, and the hardware accepts single pulses up to 60 ms for longer dwell functions. Resolver feedback is excited by a 4 kHz carrier at 18.2 Vpp, and the associated EN1 encoder module has its own 6 W power budget. For high-speed counter channels, the HSF inputs provide a 1.0 V amplitude referenced to an 8 VDC sensor supply.
Base power demand is 9 W during steady operation, but installation sizing must also account for a 6 A inrush when the rack powers up. A dedicated starting-lockout channel accepts a 24 V / 3 mA enable signal so the axes remain inhibited until external safety circuits are cleared. The resolver carrier originates from an internal oscillator, keeping position data synchronized during drive operation. This arrangement keeps the enable circuit separate from normal command traffic during startup.
