Internal Product Review
The CDB01.1C-PB-EN1-EN1-EN2-EN2-S1-S-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat CDB control unit with a ±10 V analog input range and 160 kΩ input resistance. Dual encoder handling is well executed with an 8 V EN1 HSF supply and 5.0 V EN2 encoder supply, supporting stable feedback integration. A 36 W maximum power consumption complements the 24 V / 0.5 A safety output, making this unit a strong choice for precise industrial motion control.

Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the CDB01.1C-PB-EN1-EN1-EN2-EN2-S1-S-NN-FW, a plug-in controller from the CDB Control Units series. This card installs in IndraDrive power sections and coordinates motion, safety, and feedback loops for servo axes in automated machinery. By providing analog, digital, and encoder interfaces on one compact module, the unit links field signaling to the drive processor and allows parameterization through the front service port. This arrangement lets one module handle command processing, feedback evaluation, and local I/O exchange without additional interface cards. Its purpose is to translate plant-level commands into the regulated voltage and current values required for precise motor operation.
The control unit processes command voltages up to ±10 V, and the analog input path presents a high impedance of 160 kΩ so source devices are not loaded. A dedicated analog output can source 5 V / 1 mA for reference feedback to external PLC cards. Twelve digital inputs accept 24 V / 3 mA signals, while four transistor outputs deliver 24 V / 0.5 A for actuator coils or status lamps. Overall heat dissipation remains within 36 W, permitting fanless operation inside the drive rack. Encoder socket EN1 supplies 8 V for Hall sensor feeds and 18.2 Vpp for resolver excitation, whereas EN2 provides 5.0 V with 350 mA to power incremental encoders. These separate interface paths allow the module to exchange feedback and control signals with external hardware without requiring added converter stages.
During power-up, the drive backplane can draw an inrush of 6 A, so upstream fusing must tolerate this brief surge. Control pulses arriving on the fast inputs can be recognized with widths up to 60 ms, which supports slower sensor edges used in safety circuits. The S1 terminal can supply auxiliary sensors with 1.6 A, and its dedicated safety relay provides a 24 V DC / 0.5 A output through contacts rated at 24 V DC / 1 A for downstream interlocks. This arrangement supports connected sensors and low-voltage interlock devices from the same control platform. That helps keep external safety wiring organized within the drive system.
