Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-ET-NNN-NNN-NNN-NNN-L2-S-NN-FW is a modular control section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the CDB Control Units series. Installed on the power section of an IndraDrive, it executes motion calculations, handles network traffic, and delivers synchronized command data to the connected servo axes. Typical tasks include indexing, camming, and coordinated speed regulation in automated assembly lines and process equipment.
It governs 2 axes and draws a continuous internal supply of 9 W, so thermal dissipation remains low inside a densely populated cabinet. When the unit is powered, an input surge of 6 A lasting only 60 ms charges the DC-link capacitors, so system fuses and contactors must tolerate this short pulse. Two differential analog channels provide setpoint or monitor signals at 2 × 5 V / 1 mA. The control board itself adds 2.2 W to the load when the Ethernet extension module is active. Physical connectivity is supplied through two 8-pin RJ-45 ports that follow the 100Base-TX standard, enabling line or ring topologies without extra switches. All communication and processing resources operate within the base power budget while supporting deterministic timing for high-precision motion.
The Multi-Ethernet interface supports Profinet, EtherNet/IP, and SERCOS III on the same hardware, and cable runs up to 100 m can be accepted without repeaters. Legacy diagnostics are handled by the MiniDIN 8-pin serial port, and its wiring distance is limited to 15 m to maintain signal integrity. Functional safety is integrated through the Safe Torque Off channel, which uses two independent 24 V inputs monitored at 3 mA, a D-Sub 9-pin female connector, and an acknowledgment contact rated at 24 V / 1 A. The communication paths share the same protective earth to minimize noise coupling.
