The CDB01.1C-ET-NNN-NNN-NNN-NNN-L1-S-NN-FW is a modular control section produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CDB Control Units series. Intended for IndraDrive power inverters, the unit supplies centralized processing and field-level I/O so axes can be coordinated, monitored, and adjusted in industrial automation lines. It plugs onto a power section and provides the real-time link between higher-level PLC networks and the drive’s internal torque or position loops. The design concentrates signal conditioning, communication, and safety relay functions on one card to reduce cabinet wiring.
Two analog outputs use an 8 bit digital-to-analog converter that steps voltage changes in increments of 19.5 mV/inc. Each channel can swing from 0 to 5 V to command torque or speed references. The seven digital inputs accept sourcing signals at 24 V while drawing only 3 mA per point, allowing direct wiring to typical sensor blocks. Digital outputs are rated for sink currents up to 500 mA, so external contactors or indicator lamps can be driven without intermediate relays. A Multi-Ethernet command interface and two network ports let the drive join Profinet, EtherNet/IP, or SERCOS III segments without add-on cards. For parameter loading and service, the RS-232/RS-485 port transfers data at up to 115 kBaud over cables as long as 15 m. All I/O circuits share a common supply that must not exceed 1.1 A.
Each analog channel sources up to 1 mA, which is enough to drive standard control card inputs while minimizing load on the converter. Fast edge capture is available through the probe input, which recognizes position marker signals with a pulse width as short as 4 µs. For auxiliary switching, an onboard relay carries up to 1 A, which is useful for enabling brakes or safety interlocks directly from the unit. These limits apply to connected control circuits, position marker detection, and auxiliary switching functions in multi-axis machinery.
