Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-ET-EN2-EN2-NNN-NNN-S1-S-NN-FW is a compact control section from the CDB Control Units series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. Installed on an IndraDrive power module, it supervises feedback, I/O, and network traffic so the drive can position or regulate a pair of servo axes inside an automated cell or machine tool. By housing motion-related electronics on a replaceable card, the design keeps sensitive logic away from power switching components while allowing quick adaptation to different fieldbus environments.
This version supports 2 axes, giving it the ability to process parallel command loops for dual-motor applications such as gantry bridges or synchronized conveyors. A Multi-Ethernet interface lets the user select PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or other Ethernet-based protocols without changing hardware, and data exchange runs at the industrial Fast Ethernet rate of 100Base-TX. Both encoder sockets are assigned the Bosch Rexroth EN2 format, so each axis can accept a ±5 V differential signal from a high-resolution absolute encoder. For analog reference tasks, the unit admits a control signal of ±10 V; this channel presents an input impedance of 160 kΩ to avoid loading the upstream source while still delivering full-scale resolution to the internal A/D converter.
The communication board exposes 2 ports on an RJ-45 connector, supporting line or ring network topologies without an external switch. It powers each feedback device with 5.0 VDC at up to 350 mA, enough for most multiturn or sine-cosine encoders used in precision motion. A Form C relay rated at 24 VDC, 1 A is provided for drive-ready signaling or external brake release, and a D-Sub 9 Safety I/O connector allows wiring to emergency stop chains or light-curtain outputs so the control section can participate in integrated safety functions.
