Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-ET-EN1-EN2-NNN-NNN-S2-S-NN-FW is a drive controller control card produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the CDB Control Units series. It serves as the central interface between an IndraDrive power section and multiple feedback devices, allowing parameter setting, diagnostics, and fieldbus exchange from a compact slot-in module. In an automation cabinet, it governs motion sequences, interprets encoder signals, and switches application-level I/O so that a servo axis starts, stops, or reacts to machine logic in real time.
The unit tolerates a 6 A base inrush, so cabinet fusing must accommodate that short-term demand when the controller energizes. Once powered, it draws only 9 W, minimizing heat inside densely packed enclosures. For the first feedback channel, the HSF supply delivers 8 V DC and can source up to 250 mA to a Hiperface encoder. Its resolver excitation is a differential 18.2 Vpp that keeps analog amplitude constant across long cables. Channel EN2 provides a regulated 5.0 V DC reference for TTL or BiSS transmitters, and the Ethernet-based ET interface communicates at 100Base-TX so cyclic setpoints reach the drive within a 1 ms network period.
For higher-power encoders on the second channel, the board supplies up to 350 mA. Sinusoidal feedback enters on the 1.0 Vpp inputs, while incremental tracks can pulse at a maximum 1000 kHz. The digital trigger block accepts positioning marks whose width is limited to 60 ms, preventing unintended latching of slow signals. Physical connections are made through two RJ-45 8-pin ports, and status is shown on a single-line panel so the axis state can be checked without a laptop. A 9-pin female D-Sub on the S2 header routes external relay wiring, and the onboard dry contact can switch 24 V at 1 A for brake release, clamping, or other machine functions.
