Product Description:
The CDB01.1C-ET-EN1-EN1-NNN-NNN-S1-S-NN-FW is a plug-in control unit from Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s CDB Control Units series. Installed on an IndraDrive power section, it forms the command layer that links drive electronics with machine controllers, feedback devices, and safety circuits. Its plug-in format keeps the control functions close to the power electronics and feedback connections. In automated production cells this board routes motion commands, collects encoder position data, and exchanges status messages over industrial Ethernet so multiple axes stay synchronized during high-speed cycles.
The board draws a base load of 9 W; this low internal demand minimizes cabinet heat and simplifies power-supply sizing. Its primary communications channel is Multi-Ethernet, allowing protocol selection without hardware changes. The network is cabled through a RJ-45 (8-pin) jack that supports the 100Base-TX physical layer for 100 Mbit/s throughput. Two Resolver/HSF encoder ports accommodate mixed feedback types; resolver carriers are generated at 4 kHz with an 18.2 Vpp amplitude, while HSF devices connect on dedicated lines. During power-up the unit imposes an inrush of 6 A, a parameter used to rate circuit breakers and soft-start components so upstream supplies are not over-stressed.
The HSF ports deliver 8 VDC at up to 250 mA, providing regulated excitation for high-speed feedback sensors without external regulators. Incoming mains must tolerate an inrush pulse that lasts 60 ms before the current settles to steady-state values. Functional safety is handled by the integrated Safety Technology I/O option: logic inputs accept 24 V signals drawing 3 mA, and actuated outputs switch loads at a maximum of 24 V / 0.5 A. These electrical limits affect wiring gauge, fuse size, and the number of permitted sensors connected to the safety interface.
